Getting a vehicle workshop's site ready to go live
I finished a workshop's Elementor site for launch: design fixes, a security pass, and forms that go to the right inbox.
Four full site archives, with the database and config, were open to anyone.
A German agency brought me a small vehicle workshop whose new site was due to launch that month. It was built in Elementor from a Figma design and still needed finishing. Both its contact and job forms sent every message to the wrong address. And the site had been hacked once before.
I compared the test site with the Figma design at source level, listed each defect with its cause and split the work into small steps, checking them one by one. I worked on a local copy first and uploaded nothing to the live site without a backup.
A backup folder open to anyone
I reviewed the files and removed two old user accounts. Then I found a backup folder that served four full copies of the site, database and config included, to anyone. I closed it and checked that partial downloads were refused too.
For what the page builder cannot do I wrote a small child theme: fonts that stay visible while loading, swipe on nested carousels, a footer year that updates itself.
I fixed the layout on desktop, tablet and phone. Each service tile got its own photo that can be changed in the editor, and I fixed the card widths, the FAQ, the parallax, the mobile footer and the hero. I also measured image sharpness on nine pages at 1920 px and gave options for fixing the pixelated photos.
One page reached visitors with no styles. The cause was inline CSS cached while it was empty, so I switched the CSS output to files, which prevents this kind of failure. I matched the reviews on the site to the workshop’s Google profile and corrected doubled texts and wrong names. And I routed both forms to the workshop’s own address.
By 28 August 2026 the site was ready to launch, and the workshop moved it to its own domain soon after.
Closing a dealer's online shop without losing the bike configurators
I removed the online shop from a motorcycle dealer's site, rebuilt its bike configurators as request forms and moved the reworked site to the live domain.
Page builder check, plugin cleanup and updates for a trade-fair equipment catalogue
The page editor looked broken after the old page builder disappeared. I checked the whole site, removed the plugins it no longer needed and updated the rest, without touching the hand-patched parts of the shop.
