Privacy Policy

How nadolskyi.com handles data.

Who is responsible

Serhii Nadolskyi, web developer, registered sole proprietor in Ukraine. For anything about your data, email hello@nadolskyi.com or use the contact form. The postal address is given on request.

This site

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. Fonts and images are served from the same server; nothing is loaded from a third party while you read it. The one exception is the contact form’s spam check, described below, and only once you start filling the form in.

If you switch between the light and dark theme, your choice is kept in your own browser (local storage) so the site remembers it on your next visit. It never leaves your device, and clearing your browser data removes it.

Proposal and report pages

Addresses under os.nadolskyi.com/p/ and os.nadolskyi.com/r/ are pages I send to a specific person: a proposal or a report about work. They are not listed or indexed anywhere.

While a proposal page is open, it records how it is read, so I know it reached you and which part matters to you: when it was opened, how long it was on screen, how far it was scrolled, which sections were in view, whether its contact buttons were pressed, whether the video was played, the kind of device (phone, tablet or computer, from the screen width) and the browser family.

  • No cookies and nothing else is stored on your device. The page keeps a random number in memory for as long as it is open, and it disappears when you close it.
  • Your IP address is used to deliver the page and to recognise my own visits. It is not stored: what is kept is a one-way code made from it with a key that changes every 30 days, so I can tell that the same device came back within a month and nothing more.
  • When an email or messaging service fetches the link by itself (to show a preview or to check it for security), only the name of that service and the time are recorded.
  • The detailed records are deleted after 90 days. After that only totals per proposal remain: how many times it was opened and for how long in total.
  • When a proposal is first opened, or one of its buttons is pressed, I get a short notification through Telegram (Telegram Messenger Inc.) with the title of the proposal, the company it is for, the kind of device and the browser family. It does not include your name, email or address.

This happens on my own server. There are no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking services on these pages, and the fonts are served from the same server.

Why, and on what basis

The proposal answers your request and prepares a possible contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Knowing whether it arrived and was read is my legitimate interest in following up at the right time and not writing to you needlessly (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object to the reading statistics at any time: write to me and I will delete them and stop recording them for your proposal.

The contact form

If you write to me through the form on this site, your name, the address you give, your message and the page you wrote from are stored on my own server so I can answer, and sent to me as a notification through Telegram (Telegram Messenger Inc.). The server also stores your browser’s user agent with the message: the line every browser sends that names it and your operating system. Your IP address is not stored: only a one-way code made from it with a key that changes every 30 days, used to stop the same device from sending a flood of messages. I use the message only to answer you and, if we work together, for the work itself (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Write to me and I will delete it. The form is protected from automated spam by Cloudflare Turnstile. Its script loads only when you start filling in the form. It checks, usually without asking you anything, that a person is sending the form, and for that Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address and browser characteristics; how Cloudflare handles it is described in its Turnstile privacy addendum. The form also notes how long it was open before sending; that number only tells people from scripts and is not stored.

Email

When I answer, and if you write to me by e-mail, I use your message and address only to answer and, if we work together, for the work itself. Mail to hello@nadolskyi.com is hosted by Hostinger; my other mailbox is hosted by Google (Gmail).

If I wrote to you first, I found your business address in the legal notice (Impressum) of your website and used it for that one enquiry only (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). A short reply is enough: I then delete it and do not write again.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd., whose servers and content delivery network necessarily process your IP address to deliver it and may keep standard technical logs for security.

Your rights

You can ask what data I hold about you, and have it corrected, deleted, restricted or handed over to you, and you can object to its processing. Email hello@nadolskyi.com or use the contact form. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, for example the one in your country.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new date.
