A housing developer's Hebrew website, built and run for almost four years

A Hebrew right-to-left site for a real-estate developer on Next.js and Strapi, which I ran until 2026, plus a campaign-page module marketing can use on its own.

Authorship
97%of front-end commits

Nearly all the front end, and from 2023 the only developer on the site.

The client is an Israeli residential developer working on new-build and urban-renewal projects. The work came to me through a Tel Aviv web and mobile studio.

In 2022 I led the build of the company’s new Hebrew website, with a studio colleague on the first prototypes. From 2023 I was the only developer on it. I supported the site until 2026, and in 2026 built a module that lets marketing publish campaign pages on its own. Nearly all the front-end commits from this work are mine. Every change went to the studio for approval before it reached production.

Projects

  1. 2022–2026

Hebrew right-to-left website on Next.js and Strapi, with support

I built the company’s new right-to-left website in Hebrew: every project with apartment tables, galleries and maps, company pages, news and the accessibility statement Israeli sites must carry. The client’s own people edit all of it.

I modelled the content in Strapi, a headless CMS: projects, apartments, employees, tenants’ reviews, the home and about pages, header and footer. Every page on the site is edited there. The front end is Next.js and TypeScript, and project pages are generated from the CMS, so a new project becomes a new page by itself.

I kept the CMS and the front end as two separate projects, with the content structure in git, so two developers could share one database safely. I set up the hosting in the client’s own AWS account: the CMS server, the database, the front end behind a CDN, and images in several sizes through an image service. I connected the contact form to email with spam protection, and added analytics and an accessibility widget.

Before every database change I took a snapshot and tested on a copy, the move from PostgreSQL 10 to 14 included. In the following years I rebuilt the news page and reworked the project page.

The site went live on 31 August 2022, and I supported it until 2026.

Stack: Next.js, React, TypeScript, Strapi, PostgreSQL, AWS

  2. 2025–2026

Landing-page builder module for a headless CMS (Next.js, Strapi)

I built a module that lets marketing make an ad landing page in the CMS for each housing project, with SEO fields, a gallery, the price, click-to-call and a lead form. The lead form is wired to the sales inbox and to the CRM.

We agreed the scope in writing at the start. I compared a few ways to tie a page to its project, and the client chose the simplest one, a plain dropdown.

In Strapi I added a Landing Page type with drafts, SEO fields and translation support. Each page reuses its project’s images and texts. Nothing is typed twice. The pages sit under their project in the address, /projects/project/page, so no part of the path leads to an empty page.

I built the page and the form in Next.js: gallery, slogan, price, click-to-call, consent text, Israeli phone number validation and a return to the project page after sending. Each lead goes two ways, as an email to the office and, through a server-side route, to the CRM’s lead API. The CRM project is set per page in the CMS. I also fixed the publish validation for Strapi’s partial updates, which pass only the changed fields, and checked the layout across screen sizes before launch.

The first campaign page went live on 15 January 2026. Marketing can now pick a project in the CMS, fill in the fields and publish an ad page without a developer.

Stack: Next.js, TypeScript, Strapi, AWS, SendGrid
