Updates to two twin campaign sites, and a photographed PDF made clean

I rebuilt a key campaign document from phone photos into clean A4 pages, and shipped press and timeline updates to both twin sites with a way back ready.

Phone photos with a keyboard in the frame became clean, evenly lit A4 pages.

The same changes went to both static HTML sites, with a guard script and a rollback.

A key campaign document was online as phone photos, with a keyboard in the frame and a different angle on every page. The initiative ran two twin static sites, plain HTML with precompiled Tailwind and no CMS, so every change had to land on both. I came in after launch, on sites built elsewhere.

With Python scripts I measured the page edges by brightness, corrected the perspective and rebuilt the PDF, all six pages as clean A4 on both sites. A second document I replaced with the client’s corrected two-page version, combining three separate requests into one change. In a second round I added press articles with direct links and timeline entries with new PDFs, plus text corrections.

There is no build step, so I added no new CSS. A guard script confirmed that every class already had a rule and that nothing outside the two edited sections changed by a single byte. My SFTP deploy script backs up the live files, refuses to run if the server changed since the check, and rolls back in one command. I tested it first on a local copy of the server, and compared both sites before and after at 1440, 820 and 414 px.

Every change went out on both sites with a way back ready. The rebuilt six-page PDF and the corrected document are the ones online today.

Why contact-form mail went to spam, and the DNS fix

The mail records had been added in a DNS zone the world never read. I wrote the exact changes for the live zone, and the SPF and DMARC records are now live as written.
