A French company site from a bought Bootstrap theme

A young Swiss company had a bought Bootstrap theme and a collage of how its first website should look, but no site. A theme is only parts, and the client was not technical. She needed it turned into her site, in French, with every detail right.

At the start we left recolouring the theme’s illustrations out of scope, as design work. I assembled the home page from sections of different demo pages to match her collage, and made the brand colour changeable in one place. I numbered every section, so each text change had one clear place, and set the French texts from her documents.

For the Services page I showed her simple collages and built the layout she chose: twelve services with icons and prices, linked from the home page. I built the About and Contact pages and aligned the text sizes across all four pages. I extended the theme’s price switcher to show hourly prices or two monthly plans, each with its own list.

I checked the site at six screen widths from phone to large desktop and delivered all four pages between June and August 2019, with a video on how to change the brand colour, and in November a static build ready to copy to any host. The client could open the site on her own computer, change the colour herself and give a ready build to whoever put it online.
