A real-estate mini-site, from design to a custom WordPress theme

A real-estate investment project needed a small marketing site that works on phones and desktops and can be edited after launch. The studio had a design and a written spec, and the end client reviewed through the studio. The job ran in three milestones.

First I turned the design into responsive HTML, CSS and JavaScript for mobile and desktop, and it was approved before any WordPress work. From that markup I built a custom WordPress theme, with no ready-made theme and no page builder.

The studio got everything to deploy the site without me: the code in its repository, archives of the site and the theme, and a database dump with its name, user and table prefix.

I also recorded videos for editors, on creating and changing menus, adding a page and setting up the home page. The small third milestone stayed open for fixes from the end client’s review.

The contract closed with a 5.0 review, and the studio got a site it could deploy and edit on its own.
