An HTML email signature that holds up in real mail apps
I built an HTML email signature from a design for an energy company, and raised the usual mail-app failure points before the build.
A studio needed an HTML email signature for its client, an energy company, built from the client’s design. A signature that looks right in a design can fall apart in the recipient’s inbox, because mail apps drop styles and invert colours in dark mode.
So before writing any markup I raised the risky points with the studio: a real address longer than the one in the design, the layout on phones, the white background in dark mode, and fonts missing on the reader’s side. Then I built the signature to the design and delivered it.
New search titles and descriptions on an energy company's Contao site
I entered the approved SEO titles and descriptions in the site's Contao back end and checked that every updated page stayed open to search.
